Michael Bartelt currently serves as the CEO and Managing Director of Airfoil Services Sdn Bhd, a joint venture specializing in high-tech repairs of aircraft compressors and turbine blades, since May 2024. Prior to this role, Michael held multiple leadership positions at MTU Maintenance, including Director of MRO Technology & Network and Director of Industrial Engineering, where responsibilities encompassed power plant engineering and maintenance planning for various aircraft engines. Michael began their career as a senior research engineer at the Institute for Turbomachinery and Fluid Dynamics at Leibniz University Hanover, focusing on aeroacoustics and aeroelasticity while also contributing to international research projects. Michael's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Leibniz Universität Hannover and Master's degrees from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Leibniz Universität Hannover, along with a Diplom-Ingenieur in Aerospace Engineering.
