Bastian Schäfer has extensive experience in the aerospace industry, primarily with Airbus since January 2012, where roles have included StartUp Engagement Manager at Airbus InnovationX and various positions as Innovation Manager. Responsibilities have included leading technical content for the "Flying Green Experience" showcase, focusing on future technologies and lifecycle assessments. Prior to Airbus, Bastian worked at Bertrandt, contributing to the A350 XWB lavatory development and various engineering roles, including supporting the A380 program. Additionally, Bastian has been involved with STARTS as an advisor and has mentoring experience from a brief tenure with a stealth mode startup. Bastian holds a Diplom degree in Vehicle and Aircraft Engineering from Hamburg University of Applied Sciences.
