Erik Herou is an experienced data engineering professional currently serving as the Head of Data Engineering at Aira since January 2023, focusing on leading the central data team to enhance data management across multiple business areas. Prior to Aira, Erik held several key positions at H&M Group from June 2013 to December 2022, including Lead Engineer for Data Engineering & Analytics, where efforts centered on constructing enterprise-scale data platforms and transforming data practices. Erik began a career in business intelligence and data warehousing, working with various companies such as Avega Group AB and Enfo, developing BI architectures and methodologies. Additionally, Erik has a foundation in systems development from early experiences with companies like Adaptlogic and Performance Canvas. Erik holds a Master of Science in Engineering with a specialization in Computer Science from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, completed in 2002.
