Sherly Mazhuvanchery is a Senior Research Engineer specializing in Hydrology and Hydraulics at Verisk Extreme Event Solutions since September 2023. Prior experience includes serving as a Freelance Consultant and Guest Faculty at TERI School of Advanced Studies, where responsibilities encompassed teaching courses such as Optimization Techniques for Water Management and investigating eco-restoration for the Aravalli Biodiversity Park. As an Assistant Professor at TERI, Sherly guided Masters and PhD students while teaching advanced courses in Hydraulics, Geoinformatics, and Water Quality Modelling. Additional roles include Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the International Water Management Institute focusing on flood modeling and disaster risk reduction, and experience as a Flood Modeller with Mott MacDonald. Sherly's academic background includes a PhD from the IITB-Monash Research Academy, an MTech from IIT Madras, and a BTech from Kerala Agricultural University.
