Lionel Ferrand has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Lionel started their career as a Web Developer at Perenco-Tunisia in 2010 and then moved to Optiqual SAS as a Web Developer in 2011. In 2013, they joined Collegiate StarLeague as a Web Developer. In 2016, they worked as a Software Engineer - Developer Advocate at craft ai, where they developed proof of concepts and promoted their machine learning platform.
In the same year, Lionel joined Air Liquide as a Digital Project Manager at ALGEM, where they successfully deployed a Digital Transformation Roadmap, unlocking significant yearly efficiencies. Lionel also utilized their software engineering skills to develop tools improving daily operations.
From 2018 to 2020, Lionel served as a Digital Transformation Engineer at Air Liquide, where they implemented serverless solutions using AWS AI services and supported BI initiatives. Lionel was recognized as a beInnovation Innovator Award winner in 2019.
Lionel then transitioned to the role of a Machine Learning Engineer at Air Liquide, where they architectured and implemented serverless solutions for various projects, including an industrial root case analysis search engine and an internal asset marketplace application.
Currently, Lionel is the Software Engineering Team Lead at Air Liquide's APAC Digital Factory, where they lead a multidisciplinary team of software engineers, designers, and user researchers. Lionel plans and allocates team resources to key initiatives, coordinates global collaboration between Air Liquide Digital Entities, and stays updated with the latest technology and project management trends. Additionally, they are responsible for recruiting and upskilling team members.
Lionel Ferrand obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science with a focus on images, games, and intelligent agents from the University of Montpellier, which they attended from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science degree in Informatique from SUPINFO, attending from 2008 to 2013. Lionel's education also includes a Baccalauréat Scientifique from Lycée Gustave Flaubert, acquired between 2006 and 2008. Additionally, they have received various certifications, including AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2019, Certified ScrumMaster® from Scrum Alliance® in 2019, A1-2 japanese language certificate from EF Education First in 2015, TOEIC from ETS Global in 2010, and Cambridge English Certificate from Cambridge English Language Assessment in 2006.
