Jan Matthyssen is an experienced project and maintenance manager currently leading the Large Industries project team at Air Liquide, overseeing key reliability, safety, and efficiency projects in the Benelux and Nordics. Prior roles include Maintenance Manager at the Air Liquide Antwerpen site, where management of multiple air separation and hydrogen plants took place, and Pipeline Network Manager, responsible for a 2,250 km underground pipeline network. Jan has also served as a Project Owner Representative for hydrogen-related projects and has a background in production engineering from Philips Lighting, specializing in high-intensity discharge light bulbs. Jan holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Sciences (Mechatronics) from KU Leuven and completed secondary education in Sciences and Mathematics at Klein Seminarie Hoogstraten.
