Daniel Phillips

Daniel Phillips has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Daniel started their career as a Business Development Manager at Earthwatch Institute in 1999. Daniel then went on to work as a Legal Intern at Crested Butte Land Trust and as an Assistant County Attorney at Brevard County. In 2007, they became a Vice President at Renewable Resources Group, Ltd. From 2009 to 2010, they worked as an Attorney at Dan Phillips Law, PA. In 2010, they joined Greenleaf Biofuels as the Vice President of Strategic Operations and later moved to Sylvatex as the Vice President of Commercialization. From 2010 to 2016, they worked at Solazyme, Inc. in various roles, including Director of Fuels and Associate Director. In 2016, they became the Managing Director at Backcourt Fuels, where they provided consultancy services to start-ups and established companies. Currently, they are working at Air Liquide as the Vice President of Market Development & Strategy, responsible for implementing market entrance strategies and scouting potential acquisitions. Additionally, they hold the position of Business Development - Green Chemicals & Fuels at Air Liquide, where they assist renewable fuels project developers in lowering carbon intensity and identifying vertical integration opportunities.

Daniel Phillips has a diverse education history. Daniel obtained a Master of Business Administration - Executive MBA from Rice Business - Jones Graduate School of Business from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they earned a Juris Doctor (JD) from Vermont Law and Graduate School between 2001 and 2004, specializing in Law. In 2005, they furthered their education in Environmental Law & Policy with a Masters in Environmental Law from the same institution. Daniel also holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics & Environmental Studies from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, which they completed from 1995 to 1999. Additionally, they pursued economics studies at Prague University of Economics and Business in 1998.
