Jamieson "Jim" Gump, PhD, is a seasoned expert in modeling, simulation, and analysis with extensive experience in both military and civilian sectors. As a Senior Technical Advisor at the Air Force Research Laboratory since December 2020, Jim Gump is one of the key science and technology executives driving multi-domain analysis for transformational warfighting capabilities. Previously, as a Senior System Engineer at MITRE, Jim Gump co-led the Digital Engineering strategy for the Department of Defense. Earlier roles include Assistant Program Area Manager at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, and Vice President/Co-Founder of Paradigm Technologies, Inc., where strategic advisory support was provided for significant acquisitions, alongside a military career as a Military Intelligence Officer in the United States Army Reserve. Jim Gump holds a PhD in Systems Engineering from The George Washington University, an MS in Engineering Management from Western New England University, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Vermont.
