Assaf Asbag currently serves as the Chief Technology and Product Officer at aiOla, beginning in July 2024. Prior to this role, Assaf held the position of VP AI and Engineering at Playtika from June 2018 to July 2024, where responsibilities included directing the delivery of big data infrastructure and data science solutions while mentoring a diverse team. Assaf's earlier experience at Applied Materials spanned from August 2011 to July 2018, encompassing roles such as Sr. Director of AI and Engineering and Machine Learning Team Manager, focusing on machine learning and computer vision. Assaf began a career in the Israel Defense Forces as an officer from November 2002 to December 2006, excelling in a dedicated officers course in the Communication Corps. Assaf holds a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, earned in 2017 and 2012, respectively.
