George A. Biesmans

Climate & Nature Communications Lead at AimHi Earth

George A. Biesmans has a diverse range of work experience, starting in 2014 with an internship at Superbritánico. In 2016, they worked as an Interreligious Dialogue Assistant at KAICIID. George A. then moved on to the European Parliament in 2017, where they served as a Robert Schuman Fellow and Research Assistant. From 2018 to 2020, George worked at The Club of Rome as a Project Manager, Policy Analyst, and later as a Junior Researcher. In 2020, they became a Global Ambassador for Youth4Nature and a Learning Mentor at The British School of Brussels. In 2021, George volunteered at Fedasil and Re-Alliance. George A. became a Certified Forest Therapy Guide for the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy in 2020 and currently holds this position. George's most recent work experience is at AimHi Earth, where they started as an Impact Assistant in January 2022. George A. then transitioned to the role of Impact & Relationships Manager before becoming the Climate & Nature Communications Lead.

George A. Biesmans has a diverse education background with a focus on international studies and conflict resolution. From 2015 to 2017, they attended the Diplomatische Akademie Wien, where they earned a Master of Advanced International Studies (MAIS). During this time, their studies concentrated on ethno-religious conflict, conflict resolution and peacebuilding, as well as EU External Action. Prior to that, from 2011 to 2015, they pursued their Bachelor of Arts degree in Modern Languages and Cultures at Durham University, achieving a First Class Honors. Their primary areas of study included Spanish, Italian, and Arabic. George's education journey began at the European School of Brussels I, where they obtained a European Baccalaureate between 2004 and 2011. In addition to their academic accomplishments, they also hold a certification as a Global Goals Hero from Future Foundations, which they obtained in April 2022.
