Isabela Dominguez

Isabela Dominguez has a diverse range of work experience. In 2014, they participated in the Engineering Innovation Program at Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering, where they gained exposure to university-level courses and discovered their passion for problem-solving. In 2015, they worked as a Student Residence Don at Bronte College, supporting new students and developing event planning and conflict resolution skills. In 2017, they co-founded ctrlgate, a software management platform for gated communities, where they developed a business strategy and acquired customer feedback. In 2018, Isabela interned at Dunin-Deshpande Queen's Innovation Centre, where they pitched ctrlgate and secured $5,000 in seed funding. Isabela also learned about finance fundamentals and different fundraising opportunities. In 2019, they interned at FIME, where they developed a machine learning model and API and tested banks' existing solutions. Isabela also co-founded AIM colours the same year. In 2020, they worked as a Program Manager Intern at Microsoft, defining project scope, conducting customer interviews, and creating specifications. Isabela also worked as a Project Manager for the Engineering Design and Practice Course at Queen's University. Currently, Isabela Dominguez is a Product Manager at Microsoft.

Isabela Dominguez completed their education at Queen's University from 2016 to 2021, earning a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Computer Engineering. Prior to that, they obtained their High School Diploma from Bronte College, where the specific field of study is not mentioned.

In addition to their formal education, Isabela has obtained various certifications. In 2018, they received the SafeTALK Suicide Alertness For Everyone certification from LivingWorks.
