Matilda Sinkko has a diverse range of work experience in various research and project roles. Matilda started their career as a Childcare Worker in 2016, where they focused on supporting children's development and implementing teaching activities. Matilda then transitioned to the field of neuroscience, working as a Research Assistant at the University of Helsinki from 2017 to 2020, where they studied neurodegenerative disorders and gained experience in in vivo and in vitro methods, particularly in imaging techniques.

In 2020, Matilda worked as a Research Intern at King's College London, where they focused on identifying gene variants associated with ALS and designing guide RNAs for CRISPR editing. This work aimed to contribute to the development of personalized treatment options for ALS patients. Matilda also worked as a Master Thesis Worker at the University of Helsinki, studying neuromuscular junction formation and morphology in peripheral neuropathy.

Matilda's experience in genomics continued at the University of Helsinki in 2021, where they worked as a Researcher, modeling the functional impact of gene variants associated with neuropsychiatric disorders on neuronal development. Matilda conducted exploratory analysis and quality assessment of high-dimensional RNA sequence data using R software.

In the same year, Matilda had a role as a Covid-19 Contact Tracer at the City of Helsinki, where they interviewed individuals exposed to COVID-19, assessed symptoms, provided instructions for isolation or quarantine, and reported cases following confidentiality procedures.

Currently, Matilda is working at Aiforia Technologies as a Project Specialist, where they began their role in October 2021. Matilda later transitioned to the role of Project Owner in August 2022.
