Joshua Childs is a Development Manager at Affordable Homes & Communities since November 2020, overseeing the progression of affordable housing projects from concept to lease-up. Previous experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan, where Joshua supported multiple research initiatives related to housing policy and community impacts. Joshua also held roles such as Graduate Student Instructor in GIS, participant in HUD competitions, and Dow Sustainability Fellow, collaborating on projects focused on community planning and policy. With a background in construction oversight as an AmeriCorps Construction Supervisor and experience in governmental settings, including an internship with the United States Senate, Joshua possesses a strong foundation in public policy and urban planning. Joshua earned a Master of Public Policy and Master of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's degree in History and Political Science from West Virginia University.
