Martha Montoya has a long history of work experience in the Ag industry. Martha began their career in 1995 as President/Partner of several produce/agricultural companies. In 2009, they became the Publisher of El Mundo Communications Inc. and in 2016 they were the Chief Creative Officer of Los Toons/Los Kitos. In 2014, Martha was appointed to the Board of the California State Board of Food and Agriculture. In 2016, they became a Member of the Board of the Latino Food Industry Association. In 2017, Martha became the Chief Executive Officer of Agtools Inc. and in 2018 they were the Entrepreneur of Residence at UCI Beall Applied Innovation @ the Cove. In 2020, Martha was appointed to the Board of the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) and to the Editorial Advisory Panel. Lastly, in 2022, Martha was appointed to the District Export Council Member of the U.S. Department of Commerce and to the Advisory Council Member of the International Fresh Produce Association.
Martha Montoya has a diverse education history. In 2018, they completed a UC Davis Food, Ag & Health Entrepreneurship program from UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education. Martha has also attended Rochester School, Stanford University, Universidad La Salle, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, and Saint Benedict, Santa Maria. In 2017, they completed a SLEI Education Scaling Program from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, with a focus in Business Administration and Management, General.
