Umair Ahmed has over a decade of experience in electrical and automation management within the steel industry. Currently serving as the Manager of Electrical and Automation at Agha Steel Industries since December 2017, Umair leads the Steel Meltshop sector. Previously, Umair held the position of Deputy Manager Electrical & Automation at National Steel Company Limited from February 2013 to November 2017, where responsibilities included managing electrical and instrumentation needs for bulk and process plants. Early career roles include positions as Assistant Manager in Electrical at Amreli Steels Limited and International Industries Limited, as well as a tenure at Karam Ceramics Limited. Umair holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering from Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology, completed in 2007.
