Ellen is the Executive Vice President Scalable Enterprises and Green Infrastructure in Norfund, the Norwegian DFI.

Prior to Norfund, Ellen held several senior positions at Yara, a Norwegian global fertilizer company. Her last position in Yara was as VP of Sustainability Programs and Global Projects. From 2015-2018, she was the Country Manager for Yara Côte d’Ivoire. Earlier in her career, Ellen spent four years as EVP at Agrinos, an international agriculture input provider, responsible for Europe, Africa and Asia.

Ellen has also held various senior management positions at Norsk Hydro. Ellen has broad experience as a non-executive board member including the research institution SINTEF, Gassnova, Bright Products, Herøya Industrial Park, and N2Applied. She holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Oslo and Université de Toulouse.
