Dr Sultana Sherman has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Dr Sultana started their career at The Mombasa Hospital as an Assistant Chief Pharmacist in 1998. In 2003, they joined The Aga Khan Hospital as a Pharmacy and Outpatient Manager, where they worked until 2013. During their time at The Aga Khan Hospital, they held the positions of Support Services Manager and later became the Head of Clinical Support Services & Outreach Centres. In 2013, they transitioned to Aga Khan Health Service, Kenya as the Head of Outreach Centres, Mombasa Cluster, where they led the Access Strategy of the organization in the Coastal Region. In 2019, they returned to The Aga Khan Hospital as Interim Chief Executive Officer and then moved on to become the Head of Outreach Centres & Professional Services in 2020. Throughout their career, Dr Sherman has focused on increasing access to quality and affordable healthcare services through the expansion of outreach health centres.
Dr. Sultana Sherman completed their Master of Science in Clinical Pharmacy degree at Queen's University Belfast from 2015 to 2017. During the same period, they also pursued an MBA in Healthcare Management at Strathmore Business School.
