Glen Baker is a Senior Consultant at AFRY, specializing in the modeling and valuation of flexible assets in the GB market, including battery energy storage systems (BESS) and pumped storage. Glen co-authored the AFRY GB Value of Flexibility report and participated in whole systems studies relating to long-duration energy storage and the hydrogen sector. Previously, Glen served as an Energy Analyst, leading market analysis and modeling for the Energy Market Quarterly Analysis process. Additional experience includes tutoring STEM subjects at De Silva Tutors, an internship with Minibems Ltd focusing on a building energy management system, research for BEAMA on grid flexibility, and a summer placement at Special Metals Wiggin Ltd involving process improvement using Six Sigma methodology. Glen holds a Master of Science in Sustainable Energy Futures from Imperial College London and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Exeter.
