Gerald Van Wyk (FIISA) currently serves as the Group CEO of AfroCentric Group, a position held since August 2023. Previously, Gerald was a Group Executive at Santam Insurance for a brief period in early 2023, and before that held several senior roles at Santam, including CEO of Santam Client Solutions and Executive Head of Strategic Business Development. Gerald's extensive experience in the insurance sector includes key positions at Discovery Insure and Hollard, along with management roles at Agisanang Insurance Administrators and Mutual & Federal. As a board member, Gerald holds the role of Chairman of the Board of Indwe Broker Holdings and non-executive directorships with Ayo Holdings and Snyman & Van Der Vyver. Additionally, Gerald served as Past President of the Insurance Institute of Gauteng, focusing on collaboration and skills development within the industry. Educational qualifications include a BCOM in Risk Management from the University of South Africa, an MDP in Management from Stellenbosch University, and a GMP in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
