Osahon Akpata is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in financial services, digital payments, and strategic partnerships across the African continent. Currently serving as Head of CANEX Creations Inc. at African Export-Import Bank, Osahon leads equity investments in intellectual property within the creative industries. Prior to this, Osahon held various leadership roles at Ecobank Transnational Incorporated, including Group Head of Consumer Payments and COO, Group Consumer Bank, where responsibilities encompassed managing a multi-country consumer payments business, executing retail banking strategies, and driving partnerships with fintech and Telco firms. Previous experience includes roles at McKinsey & Company, where project management and strategy development were key focuses, and at Johnson & Johnson, where Osahon excelled in sales and marketing, earning multiple accolades. Osahon holds an MBA in Marketing and General Management from Columbia Business School and additional qualifications from IMD and Nottingham Trent University.
