Leila Sebunya is an experienced credit risk professional with a robust background in finance, currently serving as a Credit Risk Manager for the Intra African Trade Initiative at the African Export-Import Bank since March 2018. In this role, Leila manages the credit review process and assesses creditworthiness, focusing on risk management to minimize bad loans in structured trade finance and asset-based finance portfolios. Prior positions include Senior Investment Officer at the African Development Bank, Senior Credit Risk Manager at Standard Bank Group, and Assistant Vice President at Barclays Corporate Banking, where Leila developed expertise in corporate credit risk and financial intermediation.
