Edgar Twine is an experienced professional in the fields of agricultural economics and value chain analysis, currently serving as the Country Representative in Uganda for the Africa Rice Center. With a background as an Associate Principal Scientist specializing in marketing and value chain expertise, Edgar has also worked as an Independent Consultant and as a Scientist and Post-Doctoral Scientist at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI). Academic qualifications include a PhD in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of Alberta and a Master of Science in Agricultural Economics from Makerere University. Prior experience includes serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Alberta and as a Consultant Economist at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA).
