Paul Freeman

Scientist - Head Of Vector Core at Affinia Therapeutics

Paul Freeman began their career in 2015 as a Research Assistant at the Environmental Protection Agency. In this role, they worked with a varied team to see a project from experimental conception and development to final report writing. Paul then moved on to become a Math Instructor at Mathnasium - The Math Learning Center in 2018, where they taught students K-12 math after school and evaluated and documented student progress. Later that same year, they joined AveXis, Inc. as a BioProcess Engineer. In 2019, they transitioned to Novartis Gene Therapies as a BioProcess Engineer II, where they operated various downstream manufacturing processes and trained new manufacturing personnel. Most recently, in 2021, Paul Freeman joined Affinia Therapeutics as a Principal Research Associate, then a Senior Research Associate, and then a Research Associate, Vector Core.

Paul Freeman obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Calvin University between 2012 and 2016.
