Filbert Cua started their career as an Analyst at Citigroup Global Markets from July 2004 to December 2005. Later, they joined Perry Capital in January 2006 as an Analyst, where they identified and evaluated investment opportunities for the $1.5 billion Asia-Pacific portfolio, with a focus on the energy, media, and technology sectors. In 2009, Filbert worked as a Summer Analyst at Perry Capital, where they covered the global alternative energy sector for the equity long/short book and executed cross-border merger arbitrage investments. From August 2010, Filbert became a Partner and Managing Director at Aetos Alternatives Management, where they evaluated, analyzed, and monitored hedge fund investments with a focus on equity long/short strategies, event-driven, and global/international managers. Filbert also constructed and managed hedge fund portfolios.

Filbert Cua completed their undergraduate education from 2000 to 2004 at the University of Pennsylvania, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Science. Following this, they pursued further education from 2008 to 2010 at the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA). The field of study for their MBA degree is not specified.
