Didier Rotsaert is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, business development, and project finance. Currently serving as Managing Director of Mergers and Acquisitions at The AES Corporation since December 2013, Didier Rotsaert has successfully led multiple complex transactions, collaborating closely with stakeholders to achieve company value objectives. Prior to this role, Didier Rotsaert was Managing Director of Business Development at AES Africa Power Company, focusing on Independent Power project financing in West Africa. Didier Rotsaert also held various leadership positions at The AES Corporation from 1999 to 2009, overseeing global greenhouse gas emission reduction projects and managing corporate initiatives. Earlier in career, Didier Rotsaert worked as a Project Manager at Schroders, advising on infrastructure financing, and as an Analyst at Hill Samuel. Didier Rotsaert holds a Master's degree in Business Engineering from Solvay Brussels School and completed the Senior Executive Education Program at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.
