Don Dengel has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries.
Don currently serves as the Vice President North America at Aerospike, Inc. since February 2020. In this role, they are responsible for enabling organizations to act in real time across billions of transactions using the Aerospike Real-time Data Platform.
Prior to that, from 2013 to 2020, Dengel worked at Cloudera. Don initially served as a Strategic Account Executive, where they focused on delivering Hadoop-integrated business solutions to global customers. Don later transitioned to the role of Regional Sales Director, leading the growth of Cloudera's machine learning and analytics platform.
From 2008 to 2013, Dengel was employed at VMware. Don began as a Senior Systems Engineer, responsible for technical relationships and implementations of VMware architecture. Don then moved up to the position of Strategic Account Manager, where they sold VMware products and services to strategic customers.
Before VMware, Dengel worked at Vanco US as the Director of Technical Consulting from 2002 to 2008. In this role, they managed a team of technical consultants and contributed to driving new business and revenue growth.
From 2000 to 2002, Dengel served as the Director of Network Engineering at Calix. Don provided technical management to sales engineering staff and played a role in product development and customer requirements.
Before Calix, Dengel worked at Top Layer Networks as the Director of Sales Engineering from 1999 to 2000. Don started as the East Coast Regional Engineer and was promoted to Worldwide Director due to their successful account management and revenue generation.
Prior to that, Dengel worked at 3Com Corporation from 1992 to 1999. Don served as a Regional WAN Specialist, specializing in the design and implementation of networking systems. Don also worked as a Network Consultant, where they provided technical leadership throughout the sales process.
Dengel's career began at US Healthcare in 1989, where they served as the Manager of Local Area Networking. Don designed and implemented connectivity solutions for LAN, WAN, and client-server communications.
Before entering the technology industry, Dengel worked at Johnson & Johnson as an Office Systems Analyst from 1987 to 1989. In this role, they were responsible for the evaluation, installation, and support of network and standalone personal computers.
Throughout their career, Dengel has demonstrated expertise in sales, technology management, and customer relationship building.
Don Dengel attended The Citadel from 1982 to 1986, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
