Elvin Thomas III has a diverse work experience in engineering and design roles. Elvin began their career in 1996 as an Engineer Intern at Florida Power & Light Company and later worked as an Engineer Intern at the City of Riviera Beach in 1997. From 2002 to 2004, Elvin worked as a Substation Engineer at Orlando Utilities Commission. Elvin then joined Mosler Automotive as a Fabricator from 2004 to 2007.
In 2007, Elvin became a Project Engineer at B/E Aerospace and continued in that role until 2020. From 2017 to 2020, they also worked as a Project Engineer at Rockwell Collins. In 2021, Elvin worked as a CAD Designer at MHS Crane and later as an Engineer at ACI Hoist & Crane. Currently, they are employed as a Mechanical Engineer at Aerospace Technologies Group, where they are involved in designing aerospace parts and assemblies for VIP and commercial aircraft, conducting rapid prototyping, testing, and R&D.
Elvin Thomas III first attended Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University from 1995 to 1999, where they pursued a field of study in Mechanical Engineering. Following this, they enrolled at Palm Beach State College from 2000 to 2001, and successfully obtained an Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Elvin then continued their education at the University of Central Florida from 2002 to 2004, concentrating on Mechanical Engineering without attaining a specific degree.
