Paul Zennaro currently serves as General Manager of Communications and Corporate Affairs at the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) since September 2020, leading a team focused on media relations, internal communications, and content creation to support Australia's energy transition. In November 2023, Paul was appointed Acting Executive General Manager for Government & Stakeholder engagement, working directly with the CEO to enhance AEMO's relationships with various stakeholders. Prior to AEMO, Paul held positions including Government Relations Manager at Incitec Pivot Limited and External Communications Manager at Shell, where Paul contributed significantly to brand strategy and national media engagement. Paul’s early career includes roles in media and government relations with organizations such as VicRoads, the Master Builders Association of Victoria, and the Parliamentary Liberal Party. Paul holds a Master of Communications & Media Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics, both from Monash University.
