Luke Smith is a seasoned data architect with extensive experience in designing and implementing quality solutions across various industries. Currently serving as a Data Architect at the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) since November 2022, Luke also holds the position of Head of Enterprise Architecture at Empirics, where responsibilities include leading enterprise architecture initiatives and managing a skilled team. With expertise in Azure and AWS migrations, especially for event-driven real-time systems, Luke is proficient in Software Design, Data Architecture, and Enterprise Architecture, and is both TOGAF certified and a PMI-certified project manager. Previous roles include Regional Applications Manager and Data Architect at Norton Rose, where Luke managed IT teams for applications and global data integration, as well as senior leadership positions at BCC Pty Ltd, Anite International, and Dun and Bradstreet. Luke holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Melbourne and continues to develop professional skills through certifications in enterprise architecture and project management.
