Bill Mehmen

Bill Mehmen has over 30 years of experience in the IT industry. Bill began their career at CUNA Mutual Life Insurance Company, where they worked as an IT Manager for 17 years. In this role, they were responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of consumer-facing websites, financial advisor web portals, and internal client server systems. Bill also managed a team of 14 professionals and was accountable for strategic technology implementations and system performance.

In 2007, Bill joined Aegon Asset Management as a Senior IT Manager. During their 8 years with the company, they played a crucial role in a multi-million dollar project to replace an outdated derivative management system. Bill also provided leadership in strategic and tactical planning for various record-keeping systems and emphasized managing costs while striving for system improvements. In 2015, Bill was promoted to Head of IT at Aegon Asset Management, overseeing a $30 million annual budget and a large team across multiple areas, including application development, security, infrastructure, and helpdesk. Bill was also responsible for global coordination, outsourcing program implementation, and negotiating annual savings for divisional contracts.

Bill Mehmen attended Central College from 1986 to 1990, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, General. In 2015, they also achieved the certification of Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI) from LOMA.
