Chris has served on the AEGIS Board and as President of the firm since June 2019. Chris co-founded the firm and served as its first CEO as it grew from start-up to industry leader. Going forward, Chris will focus on all market-related activities including client relationship management, sales and business development. Prior to founding AEGIS, Chris spent six years as President of ARM Energy, previously known as Asset Risk Management, advising both public and private oil and gas producers on their hedge portfolios. Chris was one of the original members of Bear Energy LP, a subsidiary of Bear Stearns, where he was responsible for the company’s derivative marketing activities across natural gas, crude oil, and crude product platforms. Prior to Bear Energy, Chris worked for the National Bank of Canada originating structured product opportunities and marketing energy derivatives to both upstream and downstream markets across North America. Chris began his career in derivatives with Enron as part of Enron’s Industrial Markets Group, where he focused on marketing hedging structures across various OTC commodity markets. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in International Economics from Texas Tech University.
Outside of the office, Chris enjoys actively supporting The Woodlands youth lacrosse teams, playing golf and spending time with his wife and 3 children.
