Mei Jia has extensive work experience in the architectural and urban design field. Mei started their career at Skidmore Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM) in 2006, where they worked as an Architectural Designer until 2009. Mei then joined AECOM as an Associate Director, focusing on urban design. Mei worked at AECOM for ten years, until 2019. In 2019, they joined Aedas as a Director.
Mei Jia began their education at Tsinghua University in 2000, where they obtained their Bachelor of Architecture degree. From 2005 to 2006, they attended Columbia University and earned a Master of Architecture degree. Mei also achieved additional certifications, including an Architect License from the New York State Education Department in January 2011 and LEED AP BD+C from the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) in November 2008.
