Gary Bilotta serves as the Associate Director of Water Science at AECOM since May 2023, bringing extensive experience from previous roles including Principal Consultant at Fishtek Consulting Ltd, where responsibilities included project management, stakeholder engagement, and various assessments related to fish passage and river restoration. Prior experience includes an academic tenure at the University of Brighton as Principal Lecturer, leading research and teaching in water and environmental management. Additional notable contributions include NERC Innovation Internships and Policy Placements with the Environment Agency and Defra, focusing on biodiversity monitoring tools and impact assessments for renewable energy schemes. Gary holds a PhD in Environmental Science from the University of Exeter and a BSc in Physical Geography from The University of Sheffield.
