Jakob Villum is a partner at Advokatfirmaet CLP DA since October 2015, specializing as a corporate and M&A lawyer with a focus on private equity, technology, venture, and capital markets transactions. Prior to this role, Jakob served as a lawyer and partner at Advokatfirmaet Schjødt from March 1998 to September 2015, concentrating on M&A, venture capital, private equity, and capital markets, and became a partner in 2005. Additionally, Jakob gained valuable generalist experience as a deputy judge at the County Court of Vesterålen from July 2001 to August 2002 and worked as an associated lawyer on secondment at Dorsey & Whitney LLP during the peak of the dot com boom. Jakob holds a Cand Jur degree in Law from the University of Oslo and participated in an Erasmus program at Aix-Marseille University in 1995.
