Ronny Bjones is an accomplished engineer and director with extensive experience in the field of cloud identity, privacy services, and security. Currently serving as an Engineer at Azure Innovation in Microsoft Azure Incubation since February 2021, Ronny oversees the incubation of Confidential Computing, a significant advancement in secure software execution. In addition, Ronny has been with Microsoft Corporate since September 2002 as the Director of Cloud Identity & Privacy Services, focused on enhancing identity and privacy capabilities within Microsoft’s cloud offerings. Ronny also represents Microsoft as a Director on the boards of the Trust in Digital Life association and EEMA. Earlier career highlights include founding Utimaco Belgium and leading R&D efforts in security product development, along with project management roles in cryptography at Cryptech and engineering positions at Prodata. Ronny holds a Master in IT Management from Hasselt University, an MSc in Information Technology from The Open University, and a Bachelor's in Electronics.
