Richard Bohn is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in CPU core logic design, currently serving as a Principal Member of Technical Staff at AMD since May 2024. Prior to this role, Richard worked at Seagate Technology for nearly 17 years, where significant contributions included leading teams focused on RISC-V CPUs, on-chip fabric IP, and processor subsystem integrations, as well as defining processor roadmaps. Notable achievements include designing high-performance RISC-V microprocessors, receiving the 2020 Seagate Tech Award for outstanding innovation, and serving on several boards, including the RISC-V International Board of Directors. Richard's earlier experience includes a role as a Development Engineer at IBM, where design contributions were made to the z6 microprocessor. Richard holds both a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
