Matthew Cordery is an accomplished software development engineer with extensive experience in high-performance computing and machine learning. Currently serving as a Principal Member of Technical Staff at AMD since March 2024, Matthew contributes to the Machine Learning Software Engineering team, focusing on graph libraries and algorithms for AMD hardware. Prior to this role, Matthew held various prominent positions, including Senior Software Engineer at Lucata Corp, where significant optimizations for the LucataGraphBLAS library were implemented. Matthew's background includes key roles at Intel Corporation as a Senior Software Applications Engineer, Marvell Semiconductor as Principal Software Engineer/Director, and IBM as a member of the Research Staff, among others. Matthew's academic credentials include a PhD in Marine Geology and Geophysics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BA with Honors in Geophysical Science from the University of Chicago.
