Harrison Godfrey has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Harrison is currently serving as the Managing Director (National AEE) at Advanced Energy Economy (AEE) since January 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Executive Director (Virginia AEE) at the same company since February 2018.
Before joining AEE, Harrison worked at Invenergy LLC as a Manager of State Government Affairs (East) from March 2015 to February 2018. Harrison also gained experience at Opower, where they served as the Manager of National Policy & Partnerships from November 2013 to February 2015, and as a Federal Policy Associate from July 2013 to November 2013.
In 2013, Harrison had an internship role as a Customer Solutions Intern at PSEG. Harrison pursued a Master of Public Affairs from Princeton University from August 2011 to June 2013.
Earlier in their career, they worked as a Jr. Fellow at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in 2012. Additionally, they served as a Legislative Assistant at the Executive Office of the President from February 2009 to July 2011.
Harrison also gained experience as a Staff Assistant at U.S. House Majority Whip James E. Clyburn from January 2007 to February 2009. Prior to that, they worked as a Campaign Manager for CHUCK HOSKIN FOR THE 6TH HOUSE DISTRICT from September 2006 to November 2006, and as a Campaign Manager for HANS RIEMER FOR COUNTY COUNCIL – DISTRICT 5 from June 2006 to September 2006.
Harrison Godfrey obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and International Relations from William & Mary in 2006. Following this, they pursued higher education and completed their Master's degree in Domestic Affairs with a focus on Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy at Princeton University from 2011 to 2013.
