Honggang Jiang is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in the development of implantable Class III medical devices. Currently serving as Sr. Principal Engineer in Implant Development at Advanced Bionics since July 2008, Honggang specializes in the material science and mechanical aspects of medical devices. Prior to this role, Honggang worked as a Project Engineer at Second Sight Medical Products Inc. from 2000 to 2008, focusing on the research and development of artificial retinal prosthesis systems. Earlier in the career, Honggang held a position as a Research Scientist at Los Alamos National Laboratory, where studies concentrated on process-structure-property relationships in metals, polymers, and ceramics. Honggang's academic background includes a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in Materials Science and Engineering from the Institute of Metal Research at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Material Science and Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
