Benjamin Wohlfeil is an experienced professional in the field of optical networking and photonics, currently serving as Manager of Advanced Technology and previously as Senior Engineer in the same area at ADVA Optical Networking since February 2016. Prior to this role, Benjamin worked as a Photonics Engineer at Zuse Institute Berlin, focusing on GaAs-based VCSELs and quantum dot single photon emitters, as well as the design of integrated optical waveguide structures. Benjamin began a career in research as a Research Assistant at Technische Universität Berlin, investigating fiber grating couplers and integrated optical devices. Benjamin holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering and a Diplom-Ingenieur in Technische Informatik, both from Technische Universität Berlin.
