Jim Lane currently serves as the Senior Director of Product Design for CNN Revenue, Growth & Commerce, as well as CNN Politics, Business, and Verticals since February 2020, having also held the role of Creative Director for CNN Politics. Additionally, Jim Lane contributes as a Mentor at adplist.org, focusing on mentoring designers in areas such as design skills and career development. As the Founder and Co-Organizer of the NoVA UX Meetup from July 2012 to June 2023, Jim Lane established the largest meetup for user experience professionals in Northern Virginia. Past roles include Vice President of User Experience at both Virtru and Contactually, where Jim Lane oversaw UX teams and enhanced product strategies. Constraints of experience also encompass strategic design positions at Oracle and AddThis, with foundational work in user experience at Revolution Health, AOL, and Netscape. Jim Lane holds a B.S. in Cognitive Psychology from Carnegie Mellon University and is pursuing professional coaching certification at Duquesne University.
