Bas Willems has gained extensive work experience in various engineering roles throughout their career. Bas started in 1998 at Philips Healthcare, where they worked as a Mechanic/Assembler and later as a Lay-outer. Bas then joined Adimec in 1999, initially working as a Test Engineer and later as a Process Engineer, responsible for the entire production process. In this role, they designed and introduced new processes and wrote assembly and test instructions. Bas joined ASML in 2008 as a Production Engineer before moving to Carrier Refrigeration Benelux B.V. in 2009, where they worked as a Remote Monitoring Engineer. In 2011, they returned to Philips Healthcare as a Manufacturing Engineer, responsible for defining, implementing, maintaining, and improving manufacturing processes. In 2016, Bas joined VDL Enabling Technologies Group (ETG) as a Factory Engineer and TMC New Product Introduction as an Employeneur. Most recently, since 2017, they have been working as a Production Engineer at Adimec.

Bas Willems attended Fontys Hogeschool Eindhoven from 2000 to 2003, where they studied Hogere Electronica. Prior to that, they attended Technisch Lyceum Eindhoven from 1994 to 1998, specializing in Electronica. Bas began their education at LTS S.G. Kempelant from 1990 to 1994, where they focused on Elektrotechniek. In 2015, Bas obtained certification as an IPC-7711/7721 CIT (Certified IPC Trainer) from ETECH-trainingen.
