Volker Daut has extensive work experience in various roles related to procurement, logistics, and supply chain management. Volker was the Vice President of Global Procurement at adidas, where they successfully reduced supply risk, advised the business strategically, and drove corporate sustainability initiatives. Volker also led the digital transformation of procurement and improved agility and risk mitigation in the face of market conditions. Prior to that, they held the position of Head of Global 3PL Strategy & Management, where they provided leadership and direction to key geographies and collaborated with strategic partners to support growth and risk mitigation. Volker was also responsible for managing 3PL portfolios and ensuring operational excellence. Additionally, Volker Daut had experience as the Head of Global Transport, Logistics & Customs at adidas, overseeing availability and operations management from factory door to door. Volker also worked as a Senior Manager in Global Planning & Supply Chain Integration, as well as the Head of Projects in the Global Supply Network. Before joining adidas, they worked at HP as a Regional Logistics Manager and Logistics Specialist. Volker Daut also had an academic role as an Associate Professor at KEDGE Business School.
Volker Daut obtained an Academic Diploma in Biology from the University of Cologne, from 1994 to 1999. Prior to this, they had also earned an Academic Diploma in Sport Science & Management from Deutsche Sporthochschule Köln, from 1993 to 1998. Subsequently, they pursued an MBA in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from KEDGE Business School, from 1999 to 2000.
