Fernando Llaca Romero has a strong background in software development and infrastructure management. Fernando started their career at Schneider Electric as a Software Developer. Later, they worked at GMV as an Intern/Researcher before joining atSistemas as a Full-Stack Developer.
In 2017, Fernando joined BEEVA as a Software Engineer and was later promoted to the role of Software Architect. Fernando was responsible for designing solutions in a microservices architecture, utilizing technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Openstack. Fernando also implemented Linkerd as a Service Mesh and Gateway to enable different deployment strategies.
In 2018, Fernando joined Tuenti as a Site Reliability Engineer. Fernando played a key role in designing, building, and maintaining a worldwide platform with millions of users. Fernando utilized technologies such as Kubernetes, Puppet, Ansible, and Terraform for configuration management and infrastructure provisioning.
Currently, Fernando is working as the Platform Team Lead at Adhara. Fernando leads a geographically distributed international team in designing and building the cloud infrastructure using AWS and Azure. Fernando has deployed applications based on Kubernetes and managed infrastructure code with Terraform. Fernando also established a self-service platform for developers to deploy software, mainly private blockchain applications, following GitOps practices.
Throughout their career, Fernando has demonstrated excellent technical leadership and expertise in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices.
Fernando Llaca Romero earned a degree in Informática from the Universidad de Sevilla, where they attended from 2007 to 2013. Fernando also obtained a certification as an Atlassian Authorized Instructor from Atlassian in January 2016.
