John Wilson has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. John started their career as a Legislative Aide for the Kentucky House of Representatives in 1998. From there, they worked as an Attorney at Sanders and Sanders, where they gained experience in various areas of law. In 2007, they became the Judge Executive for Garrard County, Kentucky, responsible for the proper administration of county affairs.
In 2011, John Wilson served as the President of the Kentucky Association of Counties, advocating for and offering services to county governments in the state. John also became a Charter Member of the American Council of Young Political Leaders in 2010.
Throughout their career, John Wilson has held leadership positions, including as an Adjunct Professor at Eastern Kentucky University from 2012 to 2018 and as a Community CEO at the Crown Recovery Center, one of the nation's largest addiction recovery centers, from 2020 to 2022.
Currently, John Wilson serves as the Market President, Kentucky for Addiction Recovery Care, overseeing the operations and delivery of services across all residential treatment centers in Kentucky. John also acts as the main point of communication between corporate headquarters and campus operations in the state, as well as the public liaison for the company's residential treatment centers.
John Wilson attended Capital University Law School from 1999 to 2002, where they earned a JD degree. Prior to that, they studied at the University of Kentucky from 1996 to 1999, obtaining a BA in Political Science.
