James Gifford has extensive work experience as a software engineer and web developer. James is currently a Senior Software Engineer at AddEvent, Inc., where they develop, maintains, and supports web services and their infrastructure. James collaborates with a global team to implement new features and bug fixes and plans and organizes sprints.

Prior to their current role, James worked as a Lead Software Engineer at Discogs from 2018 to 2022. James also held the position of Senior Software Engineer at OptinMonster from 2017 to 2018, where they contributed to a major project, managed integrations with third-party providers, and redesigned a database schema.

Before that, James worked as a Senior Web Developer at Staffing Robot from 2015 to 2017 and as a Freelance Web Developer and Consultant from 2012 to 2017. James also served as a Lead Web Developer at CD Baby from 2008 to 2012 and as a Web Developer at Hot Off The Press, Inc. from 2005 to 2008.

Throughout their career, James has gained expertise in various technologies including PHP, Laravel, WordPress, Vue.js, Node.js, MySQL, CSS, Docker, Nginx, and Git.

James Gifford started their education at Pacific University in 1998, where they studied Computer Science. James then transferred to Portland State University in 1999, continuing their studies in Computer Science. After completing their time at Portland State University, James pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science at Western Oregon University from 2001 to 2003.
