Simon Bauwens has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering and artificial intelligence. Simon currently works as a Data Engineer at addData, where they assist companies with the entire data chain, including data strategy, data platform setup, and leveraging data for insights and actions. Simon also owns their own production company, Bauwens Productions.

Prior to their current role, Simon worked at Arinti as an AI Engineer from May 2019 to January 2022. During this time, they handled various projects and took on different roles such as data engineer, cloud engineer, data analyst, and backend developer. Simon developed AI solutions using different programming languages, packages, database systems, and cloud platforms.

Before Arinti, Simon worked at Codit - integrating your business from September 2017 to April 2019 as an Integration Professional/Consultant. In this role, they worked on integration projects involving Microsoft integration services, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft BizTalk Server. Simon also conducted functional and technical analysis with team members and clients.

Simon Bauwens has a comprehensive education history in the field of Electronics and ICT Engineering Technology (Multimedia and Information Technology). Simon began their academic journey at Ghent University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree from 2013 to 2016. Following this, Simon went on to complete a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree at the same institution from 2016 to 2017.

During their studies, Simon also engaged in an Erasmus Exchange Semester at Tampere University of Technology in 2016, further expanding their knowledge and experience in their chosen field.

In 2017, Simon pursued additional education at Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen - Vlaamse Autonome Hogeschool, where they obtained a certification in Blockchain Developer & Architect.

Besides their formal education, Simon has obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft in June 2020.
