Andrew Mercer is a seasoned professional in the field of inspection and non-destructive testing, currently serving as a member of the Quality Control Council of Canada (QCCC) since August 2012. Andrew holds multiple certifications, including API 510, 570, and 653, along with CAN/CGSB 48.9712 - RT3, MT2, PT2, UT1, and CWB Welding Inspector - Level 2. Presently, Andrew works with Applus+ in both Canada and the United States as an API Inspector, NDE Technician, and Welding Inspector, while also serving as the RBI Group - API Inspector for Irving Oil since November 2021. Responsibilities include conducting on-stream inspections of piping circuits, pressure vessels, and above-ground storage tanks, as well as preparing inspection plans to facilitate access for NDE crews. Prior experience includes positions with Acuren and Metalogic Inspection Services. Andrew's qualifications are backed by education from multiple respected organizations, including API, CGSB, and CINDE.
