Jie Chen is a Principal Illumination Engineer at Acuity Brands, where they are responsible for designing optical light engines and developing in-house optical design tools for a variety of indoor and outdoor products. Prior to this role, they worked as a Senior Optical Engineer at North American Lighting, focusing on designing forward and signal lamps for vehicles. With a Master of Science degree in Lighting from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Jie Chen has a strong background in optical engineering.
