Jason Elan is an experienced communications and external affairs professional, currently serving as the Head of External Affairs at BusPatrol since October 2022. Prior roles include Director of Communications for Tom Suozzi's gubernatorial campaign and Deputy County Executive for Suffolk County under Steve Bellone. Elan has also held positions as Communications Director for Suffolk County, Deputy Communications Director for Public Safety under Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, and Press Secretary for both Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul and the New York State Senate. Elan's career began as Director of Legislative Affairs/Constituent Services for the Town of North Hempstead. Educational credentials include a B.S. in Political Science from Towson University and an M.A. in Elections and Campaign Management from Fordham University.
